Mission
The mission of the St. Louis Metropolitan Taxicab Commission is
to ensure safe, reliable, high-quality transportation to the citizens
and visitors of the St. Louis area. The Commission is dedicated
to providing fair and equitable authority over the provision of
licensing, regulation, and enforcement of vehicle for hire services
that will contribute to the growth and image of the St. Louis Region.

next PUBLIC meeting of the Commission will be held on August
12, 2008 at 9:00am in the Auditorium at 100 North
Tucker Boulevard.

Effective Immediately: Missouri Taxicab License
Plates will be processed by APPOINTMENT ONLY
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between
the hours of 10am and 2pm.
Effective June 2, 2008: Driver's licensing
will only be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. No
appointment is required. The MTC Driver's license expires one year
from date of issue unless otherwise stated on the license. There
are no extensions. Drivers who fail to renew on time will be subject
to a penalty of $5 per day past renewal, as stated in 401.4(c) of
the Code. Licenses may be renewed up to 60 days before the posted
expiration date with no penalty or loss of time on the new license.
No accomodation will be given for licenses that expire on days
when the license office is closed. (Click

*Executive Session (a closed meeting)
The Metropolitan Taxicab Commission may go into closed session at
this meeting if such action is approved by a majority vote of the
Board members who constitute a quorum, to discuss legal, confidential
or privileged matters under §610.021(1), RSMo 1988 Supp.; leasing,
purchase or sale of real estate under §610.021(2); personnel
actions under §610.021(3); discussions regarding negotiations
with employee groups under §610.021(9); personnel records or
applications under §610.021(13); or records under §610.021(14)
which are otherwise protected from disclosure by law; or confidential
or privileged communications with the District’s auditor,
including auditor work products under §X610.021(17).
